

Daniel Lovisi is guitarist, composer and arranger. He began study music very young at the conservatory of his home town, Juiz de Fora (Minas Gerais). Following formation that united the classical guitar technique with the aesthetics of the popular Brazilian repertoire, he became a versatile musician, bringing together in his projects elements belonging to distinct, but complementary universes.
He holds a PhD in Music and Culture from UFMG (Belo Horizonte – Minas Gerais), a master's degree from UNIRIO (Rio de Janeiro), and a bachelor's degree in guitar from UFJF (Juiz de Fora – Minas Gerais). His education also includes sme years of study at Bituca - Universidade de Música Popular Ponto de Partida (Barbacena – Minas Gerais), a school that made it possible to meet with masters of Brazilian and Minas Gerais music, such as Gilvan de Oliveira, Lincoln Scheib, Serginho Silva and Ian Guest.
He recorded in the albums of Minas Gerais composers Gilbert Salles (Desabafo, 2018), Felipe Saleme and Amanda Martins (Emi Obá Africaminas, 2016), Rafael Gonçalves (Entre Amigos, 2015), Luciana D'Ávila (Falando de Amor, 2014) and Dudu Costa (Império de Sal, 2012). He also has two CDs released with the children's music group Trupicada (2011 and 2016), of which it was part for ten years, in the city of Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais.
In 2012 he was awarded in the Guitar category, at 4th edition of the Festival of Instrumental Music for Electric, Acoustic and Brazilian Ten String-Guitar, in the city of Vinhedo (SP), when he presented the composition "Nascer das Águas", recorded later on the album of the same name
of the duo Dois Nós, instrumental project that develops since 2011 with the percussionist Rick Vargas.
He currently performs concerts promoting his musical projects in Brazil and abroad and works as a music professor at the Federal University of Uberlândia, Minas Gerais.
